The Crono bathroom becomes a hero.

Two floor plans and plenty of stimulating suggestions,

To discover new, unconventional paths in the perception and design of bath rooms is one of burgbad’s standards. We are therefore pleased to enlist the services of the renowned interior designer, Sabine Keggenhoff, Graduate Engineer, for an extraordinary project.

Heroes

"The simple is not simply just
simple; no, it can be refined and
enhanced. Until its true value is
recognisable."

PHILOSOPHY AND DESIGN GOALS The DEVELOPMENT of an individualized, visual language. The DEVELOPMENT of an individualized visual message.

We think space
We communicate images.
We define values.
We regard the spirit of the times.
We offer an emotional, added value to the core competence in “furniture”.
We set the stage for heroes.

Refreshing, relaxing, enjoying, forgetting the everyday routine, regenerating, pampering the body and senses - a bathroom can fulfil so many needs. It is therefore all the more important to create a design that inspires these emotional requirements. Why?

It is the room that is entered first in the mornings.
It is the room where one takes time for the body.
It is the room that inspires with the sense of touch and emotion.
It is the room where one is surrounded by comfort.
It is the room that alters my emotions.
It is the room that shows its true colours.
It is the room that permits privacy.
It is the room that you can enjoy with all your senses.

Body and spirit are striving for health and well-being. Realising sensible, functional and proportional qualities is, therefore, decisive for us and the standards for all things. Space is currently being perceived with clearer intensity. We are at the beginning of this new form of perception.

We know that spatial goals can be designed to be experienced; we know that the sensibility regarding qualities is growing. We are constantly striving to join surfaces, textures, structures and material emphases in a balanced and, nevertheless, exciting entirety. Reliability, authenticity, and naturalness all play a decisive role, above all in the use of materials. The conceptual basis of “HEROES” is targeted towards customers whose personal affinity equates with the luxurious, pure, sleek, urban and emotional. The presence of this environment is defined by a balanced, homogenously-inspired interplay of natural and nevertheless contrasting materials. The system of allocation features a clear order, the structure is recognisable as an additive sequence and the depiction is to be understood as parentheses on a large scale. The atmospheric impression is calm and collected, the planning of the details is precise, perfected and linear. Comprehensively, it shows that modernity, timelessness and clarity are the most important parameters – in its own self-assured style. www.keggenhoff.de

Heroes 1.

Crono sets the stage
in a large room.

The most important design criteria for furnishing a large bathroom – the room should not appear smaller. Therefore, we allow space for air to breathe and leave room to move. With the central washbasin axis, the dimension of this room receives the optically-required separation without compromising in spaciousness. The material and colour mixes give the bathroom its relaxing atmosphere.

Heroes 2.

Crono sets the stage
in a small room.

Here the design criterion is contrary to Heroes 1 – the room must appear larger than it is in reality. This can be achieved by using light, seemingly floating elements placed in a precise arrangement and a stimulating use of lighting. As well as reduction to the essential. The material and colour mix can move in different directions here: Light colours make the room appear larger; dark colours make the room cosier and more intimate. Both are possible.
